I don't know what this is but it is beautiful. Growing up in NYC the birds I know are seagulls and pigeons. I am also not very knowledgeable when it comes to flowers -- Bob

Thanks for taking a look, Bob. The bird was later idenitified by members of Birdforum.net as an Orange Bishop Weaver, a native of Africa.
